We Call Them Intruders is an investigative documentary that travels from Canada to Africa and back again to unearth the stories behind some of the continent’s largest Canadian-owned mining projects. The mines are financed by Canadians through savings, taxes, Canada Pension Plan contributions, RRSPs and other investments, unbeknownst to most. The film brings viewers on a journey, taking a hard look at why communities, governments and corporations are so often pitted against each other in an explosive battle over extracting the earth’s riches.

Dans «We Call Them Intruders», deux cinéastes basées à Vancouver retracent leurs épargnes jusqu’aux mines canadiennes situées en Afrique de l’est et du sud, révélant les histoires cachées derrières certaines de ces mines.
